Ranks
- Leader | Lerei The leader of the Valin Enclave. All decisions are made by this cat unless they impart the duties onto other high ranking members, but things of importance such as decisions in war, diplomacy, or other Enclave-wide concerns will always be taken to them first and foremost.
- Regent | Reuatl The second-in-command of the Valin Enclave, directing daily life and assisting with other duties given by the Leader in order to keep them from getting overwhelmed. This cat will take over the Leader's position in the event that they can't do their duties themself for any reason.
- Seer | Seroce This cat is an interpreter of all things supernatural, communicating primarily with the Healer. They are known to be mentally unstable, but their position in the Enclave in undeniable, as their guidance can be a matter of life or death for many cats.
- Healer | Hecri The caretaker of the Enclave - caring for wounds physical and emotional alike, helping Consorts through the births of their kits, and communicating with the Seer. As Seers are known for their questionable mental stability, Healers are great companions for them - able to ground them or translate their ramblings if needed.
- Warden/s | Waehein Elite warriors, these cats have gone through more strenuous training in order to serve as guards and escorts, usually for higher ranks. It's said that a well-trained Warden could easily take on a badger, but the fact is commonly debated among valley cats. Only Members can request Warden training, though most won't complete it.
- Scribe | Scairis The archivist of the Enclave, recording important events and dates onto the stones of the Keius ruins. This cat isn't expected to hunt or fight, though they are given defensive training at least.
- Member/s | Meie Full members of the Enclave, expected to defend the Enclave from intruders and hunt to feed everyone. These cats have basic fighting and hunting training, and should be able to do these tasks without too much trouble.
- Novice/s | Nocne Young cats usually of six to eleven moons old, though any cats who haven't had basic training or haven't perfected their skills will be counted among them. A cat will never regress to the rank of Novice, but will be given a reassessment if they've previously passed their training but aren't performing well. A Novice being trained by a Warden is a great honor, though they won't go through any harder training than other Novices.
- Consort/s | Caetn Pregnant or nursing cats, they are usually at least one moon into their pregnancies or caring for up to three moon old kits. Nursing cats are allowed to leave the nursery more often three moons after kitting, in which they can ask another Consort, a Member, or the Healer to care for their kits in their absences.
- Kit/s | Kihe Cats one day to five moons of age. Kits are generally confined to the nursery for the first moon of their life, but are allowed more free reign about the camp when they are three moons old.
- Elder | Eeion The oldest and most respected members of the Enclave, these cats have worked long and hard, and are getting their well-deserved rest. Usually seventy-two moons or older, though cats who request to retire due to affected health, mental stability, or physical abilities are happily accepted.
